Crowns and Bridges
Dental crowns are required during the Root canal procedure to seal the teeth and prevent further decay of the teeth. Any tooth weakened by decay or that has cracks, looks unaesthetic and needs a dental crown. Depending on the type of material used for dental crowns, they may be of 4 types:
- Metal crowns,
- Ceramic or porcelain crowns,
- Stainless steel crowns,
- Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns.
A dental bridge is a set of two dental crowns fixed on either side of a gap to combat a missing tooth. Dental bridges look like real teeth and function perfectly as your real teeth.
